Step 1: Decide Where You Want to Work in Houston

There are over 20 hospitals in the Houston area. Figure out which one is the best fit your needs. All areas of Houston are not the same: some areas don’t have as much population density, and as a result will have a small hospital (with less employees). If you have an idea of which hospital you would like to apply for, you can head over to step 2.

Step 2: Apply For Transfer With Your Current Employer

It doesn’t matter if you work in a hospital in your current location, or with a medical laboratory, if your qualified as a nurse or Doctor you can transfer to another location in the United States with minimal red tape (except for California). Depending on the size of your current workplace, you can apply for transfer with your HR rep, or you can fill out a request with your immediate supervisor.
